“Family business. I was lucky.” We talked about that at dinner, so I didn’t elaborate. I worked hard there and knew it. I moved slowly beside her and pulled her against me as she sighed. “Stay with me. I’ll get you to work.”

“The gossip,” she murmured as I kissed her hair. I moved slowly, wanting to claim her as mine but forcing myself to remain still.
